In Amethyst Falls there is a tradition unlike any other place. Upon a person's eighteenth birthday, they are given a necklace that will lead them to their soulmate. Everyone is given the same generic necklace. Upon meeting their soulmate, it transforms into an Aquamarine, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, or Blue Topaz.
